4. STELP Fundraising Gala

Devastating earthquakes in Turkey. A continuing war of aggression on Ukraine. Deadly natural disasters in Greece, Morocco and Libya. Starving children in Afghanistan and Yemen. 2023 is also a year full of atrocities. It has taken away so many innocent people’s lives, their families and their hope for a better future.

All these people were unlucky. They were unlucky not to grow up and live here in Germany like we did. We don’t have to have a guilty conscience about it. Because we can’t help that either. But we must be aware of our privilege. Let’s use it and make a difference together.

Because with cohesion, empathy and courage, we can make so much happen. On a large scale, but also on a small scale. For society, but also for the lives of individuals. We can provide food to Ukrainians near the front line, we can build container villages in the devastated earthquake zones in Turkey, we can ensure that Yemeni children get a meal every day and Moroccan families have a roof over their heads after the earthquakes.

On December 2, we would like to look back with you at what we have already accomplished TOGETHER this year. Give you a look behind the scenes and present our projects in more detail. We want to enjoy with you, laugh, but also experience moments that get under your skin. That move you to tears and make you think.
